Should I Buy Travel Insurance?

“Should I buy travel insurance if I am traveling outside the United States”?  Our agency gets asked this question all the time by our clients. Travel insurance can not only secure medical coverage for you when traveling abroad, but it provides other important benefits like life insurance, ambulance coverage, trip interruption insurance, baggage loss insurance, and medical evacuation insurance to name a few (please review policy for exact benefits, exclusions, and limitations).  We have had several clients tell us that their travel insurance really “paid off” when things did not go as planned while on vacation. I recently took a motorcycle trip to Baja Mexico for 5 days and purchased a travel policy from Geo Blue.  The cost for 5 days of coverage was only about $30.  Well worth it for the peace of mind it gave me while traveling to a foreign country.  If interested in finding out more about Travel Insurance for your next out of the country adventure, please contact Tarah Thompson in our office at 805-687-3225.  You can also apply directly with Geo Blue from the link below.
